Matriks dan Ruang Vektor : Vektor 2 Dimensi, 3 Dimensi dan N-Dimensi
Vector
Scalars
Quantities that can be described by a numerical value alone. Ex : temperature, length, speed, etc.
Vectors
Quantities that require both a number and a direction. In 2-space or 3-space, represented by arrows. The tail of the arrow is called initial point. The tip is called terminal point. Ex : velocity, force
Vector in 2-D
Vector v that has initial point A(x_1,y_1) and terminal point B(x_2,y_2) will be written :
Vector v can be written as
Two vector is equal or equivalent if they have same length and direction (v = w)
Vector in 3-D
Vector in 3-D can be written as
Example :
Vector Operation
Suppose
Suppose v = (v_1,v_2,…,v_n) and w = (w_1, w_2,….,w_n)
Properties of Vector Operations
If u,v, and w are vectors in R^n, and if k and m are scalars, then :
